Green Dining at Shree Rama Prateeksha

Rotary Bangalore RT Nagar proudly partnered with the organizers of Shree Rama Prateeksha – A Musical Dance Theatrical in support of a Green Dining Initiative. As part of our club’s commitment to environmental sustainability, we provided reusable stainless steel plates, glasses, spoons, and other dining utensils, enabling the event to serve refreshments without the use of disposable plastic or paper tableware. This initiative significantly reduced waste generation while promoting eco-friendly practices among the large audience attending the event. Informative Rotary standees were also displayed to create awareness about the environmental benefits of reusable cutlery and encourage sustainable habits. The project reflected Rotary’s dedication to protecting the environment and demonstrated how simple, practical measures can make community events greener and more responsible.

New Generation Service

Interact Club Installation - Vidya Vahini PU

On 17 July 2027, Rotary Bangalore RT Nagar successfully conducted the Installation Ceremony of the Interact Club at Vidya Vahini PU College. The event was attended by nearly 80 students, the Principal, faculty members, and 10 Rotarians. The ceremony marked the beginning of a new year of service and leadership for the Interactors. The newly elected office bearers were formally installed and encouraged to uphold the Rotary motto, "Service Above Self." Rotarians inspired the students to become responsible leaders and active citizens by emphasizing teamwork, integrity, volunteerism, and meaningful community service. The programme concluded with an interactive session and a vote of thanks, motivating students to actively participate in service initiatives throughout the year.

Wellness & Brain Fitness Session

At our weekly meeting on Tuesday, 14th July, our Wellness Director Girija Patel conducted an engaging and informative session focused on the health and well-being of our club members. The session emphasized the importance of maintaining both physical and mental fitness, particularly as we age. Members were introduced to simple yet effective brain exercises designed to stimulate both the left and right hemispheres of the brain. These activities highlighted how regular cognitive exercises can help improve coordination, enhance memory, and potentially reduce the risk of dementia. The interactive session was well received by the members, who actively participated in the exercises and appreciated the practical tips shared for incorporating these activities into their daily routines. The initiative reinforced Rotary’s commitment to promoting wellness, not only through community service but also by encouraging healthy lifestyles among its members.

Udhvasana Initiative – 27th Edition

Rotary Bangalore R.T. Nagar successfully conducted the 27th Udhvasana initiative, an eco-conscious and culturally sensitive program that provides a dignified farewell to old and unwanted photos, idols, pooja articles, calendars, and other sacred materials. The event witnessed the participation of around 70 devotees, with approximately 500 kg of sacred articles collected. The materials were respectfully segregated for ritual disposal, reuse, resale, and recycling, ensuring that religious sentiments were honoured while promoting environmental sustainability. Rotary Bangalore R.T. Nagar is proud to support this meaningful cause and remains committed to taking this initiative to more communities in the years ahead.

Blood Donation Camp 2026

Rotary Bangalore RT Nagar partnered with BVC & Co., Chartered Accountants and BN Corp Private Limited to organize a Blood Donation Camp on 1st July 2026 at BVC Office, Malleswaram. The camp received an excellent response, with around 42 participants joining this life-saving initiative. Donors also benefited from complimentary health check-ups, refreshments, and donor certificates. Rotary Bangalore RT Nagar is proud to support initiatives that promote community health and save lives through the spirit of Service Above Self.
